We are proud to announce that Bella Via is finishing up its certification as one of the few studios in Wisconsin to be Youth Protection Advocates in Dance! We believe in YPAD’s standards to protect and keep our dancers happy, healthy and safe.
What is YPAD?
It stands for Youth Protection Advocates in Dance and is the result of the commitment of doctors, therapists, specialists, and educators for youth in athletic and artistic activities.
YPAD courses are the foremost, research-based, educational courses for dance professionals and the dance industry as a whole. Through the use of online courses, YPAD courses educate dance studios and communities worldwide on the core elements in constructing an environment focused on the well-being of kids and a sustainable, safe future for dance.
Elements of YPAD Certification include:
Educational best practices including
Background checks and CPR/First Aid
Abuse awareness & prevention
Injury prevention & response
Safety & emergency preparedness.
Social media/media safety/today’s dance culture
Developmentally appropriate artistry
