A sign-up sheet for each class will always be available at the front desk. Using this method you may return to the same classes every week, or change days and times to accommodate your busy schedule. Please sign-up in advance as classes are limited to 12 people (this may be done in person, over the phone or through email).

If you are unable to attend a class in which you have already reserved a spot at the barre, please call the studio to cancel no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled class time. This is for the consideration of the teacher and your fellow BellaBarre patrons.

BellaBarre is on break from September 16th to October 7th, 2016. We will be back at the barre on October 12th!

Wednesday 9:00 – 10:00am
Friday 9:00 – 10:00am

This class is specifically designed to give you the coveted long lean muscles, tight derrières and extended posture of a dancer without ever having to step foot in a leotard. BellaBarre is a combination of ballet technique, yoga and pilates used to target hard to reach muscle groups. It is a fusion of cardio and isometric movements designed to fatigue the muscles before allowing them to be stretched and released. Very similar to the barre classes that are all the rage on the West Coast, BellaBarre will make you aware of muscles you never knew you had! It is a total body transformation that allows you to be the best woman you can be!

Who knew going to “the barre” could be such a workout? (what to expect)

Please arrive to class a few minutes early to check-in and set up (10 minutes early if it is your first time attending class). Yoga mats are provided for you (1/4 in. thick), but you are more than welcome to bring your own. We will always begin class with our “Bella Salutations” which are used to warm-up the spine. This opens the hips and hamstrings, and protects the back from injury. Warm-up is followed by our arm series used to tone and sculpt our arms, chest and shoulders while continuing to heat the body in preparation for the barre.

The motto in our thigh and booty-work series done at the barre is “the smaller the better.” The strong focus of isolating specific muscle groups is found only when momentum is taken out of the movement. When performed properly, barre patrons often begin to feel their muscles shake and quiver. These are the muscles being fatigued and it is exactly how your body should respond to this new fitness form… it’s a good thing!

As you reach the home stretch, we finish with our abdominal series done at the barre and in the center. Megan uses a special combination of Pilates, ballet and modern to work your center in ways that are fresh and inspired, producing rapid results. Every BellaBarre session finishes with a rewarding 5-6 minute deep stretch. This is your time to relax and release any stress or tension you carried with you through class. Stretching is extremely important to fitness and health, and absolutely necessary in achieving the dancer’s physique.

We hope to see you at “the barre” very soon!

“Bella via is a wonderful dance studio with amazing teachers. They not only work towards helping kids become better dancers, but also focus on helping them to become better people. The staff is great and the other parents are warm and friendly. Both of my daughters love dancing here!”

“This is a superb place with a positive environment for kids and parents. I appreciate Megan’s natural ability to be encouraging to students and recognize their needs as dancers and as individuals. The studio itself is amazing with a café for families and a dressing room for the dancers. In addition, the restrooms have additional space, if needed. The studio is spacious and open, and we were greeted warmly by staff, parents, and dancers! We are so glad to find this place!”
